Selling my '98 Superhawk...

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

Thought this would be a good place to see if anyone would want my Superhawk! I'm moving and won't have the room to take it with, so here it is! It's a '98 with 7100 miles, and the only cosmetic issue it has is a tiny paint chip next to the filler cap. It's never been dropped or laid down, and I'm the second owner. I've always babied it, I don't ride in the rain and it's always stored inside. Now, the goods: brand new undertail with built-in LED turn signals, flush mount front LED turn signals, Yoshimura exhaust, Dynojet stage I jet kit, tank bra, and I just got my wheels done for it. A front CBR600F3 wheel and a rear CBR900 wheel, painted semi-gloss black with the body color on the outer lip. I'm not looking to trade this for anything, I just want to get it gone before I move. I'm looking for $4500 OBO, let me know what you guys think, if interested PM me!

I try, very, very hard to stay out of the ever classical price thread, but I just gotta bite this time. I'm a former ZX-10r owner and know a fair bit about them...including market prices. You can buy an 04/05/06 with similar mileage for the same price. ZX-10s will smoke a super hawk in every performance category.

I loved my old '99 SH, I really did (And still do). But I realize one thing - they aren't worth anything on the market. I bought my '99 with 5k miles on it, bone stock, clean, for $3600 -- Back in 2005. You need to perform a price reality check my friend...

Sadly, I agree with the price check. I got my 98 Superhawk last year for $2,400, and it included a fender eliminator, flush mounted turn signals, heated grips, Corbin seat, steel braided brake and clutch lines, and Vance & Hines exhaust. It had 17,xxx miles and maybe one scratch that you can't see because I buffed it out. There's an 03 RC-51 up here in anchorage with 3,000 miles on it going for $3,900 and it looks brand new.

However, good luck in selling your bike, regardless. It's a nice looking machine and you've kept good care of it, these are just friendly suggestions.

newbie owner report

I bought a 98 hawk in December for $2800 - 14K miles , sargent seat / cowl , jardine high mounts/jetted, helibars, new dual compound tires, stainless brake lines, throttlemeister , 2 windshields , pazzo levers, flush mounts, fender eliminator , new fluids pads , etc. Nice tank There is one scratch .. one inch long that isn't even through the clear coat. Its was perfect and showroom clean when I bought it . It runs flawlessly. The PO owner set it up for "VFR comfort with more power".
