I have an Ohlins rear shock, lightly used, been off bike and in box for about 20 years. Just getting around to selling it. Was set up for 215lb rider. Very clean, no visible leaks. I’m in southern Indiana. Don’t really want to ship it, but probably could work something out.
If I did not have a Penske 3-way I'd jump on it...
You just joined up here to sell it.
Where in S IN are you?
I’m near Louisville. I have several bikes, had a Superhawk many years ago. It was my first real sport bike. Replaced it with a CBR929, but sold that when we moved from Southern California to Indiana. Thought if I wanted to sell it this would be the best place although I figured I would get some grief for that!
No worries, just thought you might of been here before with a different handle
Funny, I moved to Chicago officially in 81 from San Diego for love
It's been tough for several reasons...but we're still married!
Good luck
I lived in SD for 6 years, 87 to 92. Moved here from the OC in 05. Sport bike riding is just not happening here. Too much gravel, blind corners and driveways. Not to mention the winters, which are much better than Chicago winters. Currently have my restomodded 73 cb500 that I rode in highschool and completely rebuilt myself. A 2012 Super Tenere, a 96 Royal star that I bought brand new in Huntington Beach, and just added an 08 Royal Star midnight Venture that was a steal.
hope to find someone who can use this shock. At the time I put this on my Superhawk, I also put gold valves and progressive springs in the forks. Absolutely transformed that bike. Had a lot of fun on Angeles Crest, Glendora mt rd (my favorite) and various other roads around so cal.
The Ohlins shock for the VTR is not adjustable for length. You can add a shim/washer to the OEM clevis top mount between the threads and the frame to adjust the ride height on both the Ohlins and the stock shock. I believe there are posts (from long ago) on here about this.
