Motorcycle Carrier

Just thinking of getting me one of these but not so sure if it's safe or should I just stay with my trailer? It seems it's easier to travel using a bike carrier though.

and with the B-Dawg Single, you can haul up to 400 lbs. Specifications Rail Width: 5.5" (inside 5") Rail Length: 77" (inside 75") Ramp Length: 48" Pin to Center of Rail: 18" Weight Limit: 400 lbs Approx.

Looks like you will be over their weight limit. What is the tongue weight limit on your hitch?

This one has a 600lb rating.

unless you can adjust the front 'hole' of the one you posted for a sportbike tire, don't MX bikes have like 19 or 20" tires??

I bought a carrier from a friend recently...it turned out to be all steel and rusty, it tilts to load but weighs a TON.

I will be getting one of the SMC600R's soon.
Although my Honda Ridgeline isn't rated to carry a Honda SHawk on the hitch...I will be toting a Honda Zuma around. :D

I have the double carrier like the one you posted that we use for dirt bikes. There is no way you will get a Superhawk on that thing but if you do try take video so you can put it on YouTube ;).

I like the ramp and we use it a lot but it's not wide enough to get street tires in. Having the tires inside the rails is part of what holds the bike on. You will need to one like the previous poster listed.

One thing to keep in mind. The pictures all show the ramp nice and straight from the truck but that's not how it works, at least for me. The end of the ramp sags a little. With our Suburban everything is fine until you get to a steep incline like going into a gas station or my driveway. If it was anything more than gradual the end of the ramp drags and scrapes on the ground. It has not damaged anything just sounds bad and scares the wife.
