What would I need to make that work on the VTR?

A projector obviously, but what else? I'm guessing it needs to be in a weather proof box, as it doesn't look to protected...

Anto 09-12-2008 07:11 PM

the denso is water proof if you silicone a few spots. the backside is completely sealed, you just have to seal the perimeter where the front plate screws in. you can see it in the picture. other than that just need a projector and shroud

haknslash 09-12-2008 08:18 PM

not to bounce into Anto's thread but I have a g35 bixenon projector I will sale. It would be the missing link needed with someone buying Anto's gear also. ;)

Tweety 09-13-2008 06:33 AM

Dang it... now you got my mind working overtime...

Would it be possible to have all this in one box across the pond? Shipping two items will be kind of counter productive in terms of cost... Also cost? I'm guessing Anto's price of $75 inc shipping isn't valid for overseas?

To make it easy, if one of you buys the part from the other and then sells the lot to me?

Just thinking out loud...:)

BTW it just hit me... these aren't bi-xenon are they? ie no high/low?

Edit: Nevermind... I'm stupid... I was looking at the bulb, the hi/lo is in the projector and since it's the matching pair to the one you are using... well... Now I haven't got your experience so I'll just leave the stock lens and lens holder well enough alone though...

haknslash 09-13-2008 10:10 AM

Yes they are bixenon. Same projector I'm using for my retro minus the purple clear lens swap. It has the stock fresnel lens and you can see those from my thread in the initial pics before the lens swap.

I will start a new FS thread after I get back from the Bama game.
