Keep your eyes on Ebay, I got 2 suits off there for $100 bucks each. How much are you looking to spend I know of a few places that are having closeouts.

Here's a good deal on one.

where you getting $1200? You don't need to go out and get a dainese suit... agv sport makes perfectly fine suits for around $500. Joe Rocket does too. Marmaladeboy has one and people complain but I believe he's been down a few times and been alright...

Correction - down more times than a Tijuana hoo...

I haven't crash tested my JR leathers, but some other people have crash tested theirs with no problems. The suit I've crashed in several times is a Z Custom. That sucker was expensive, but mostly because it's 1) custom and 2) has lots of lettering.

My kid and I both have this suit. Well vented, good quality leather, hardware seems to be good too!

Can I ask if you've had any problems with seams bursting or stitching coming loose? I had heard this was a problem on Shift's initial line of suits, but that they had made improvements in their current lineup. I'd like to get your opinion, before dropping some cash for one.

Really no problems at all, Marm. I bought the first suit as a streeter and it was just a little small so I gave it to the kid and bought another. They have not been worn enough to be substantially broke in but I can tell you that neither suit has showed the same problems as some of my Frank Thomas gear with seams and velcro giving up. I would highly recommend this suit for the occasional track day. They are NOT equipped with traditional knee pucks. AGV has a couple suits listed for about a hundred bucks more that do have the regular pucks. I really think these Shift suits were made for the street or light track.

Congrats on being the new moderator. Hopefully the programming changes and having you out there with your magic kill 'em cursor we can get a handle on these spammers.

Right on. Thanks for the review. I was thinking about getting a suit for SuMo activities (if the bike doesn't sell).
