Aftermarket Radiators

Does anyone know of Aftermarket radiators for the SuperHawk? Or where you can buy New ones except from Honda.

Just wondering, why would you want aftermarket radiators?

My guess is he needs to replace one (or both) and doesn't want to pay OEM prices. Correct?

Correct. I called Honda and they are giving me a price of 800+ for both with the fan.

So i was wondering if there is a cheaper option.

I would call him in the AM. I used this place 2 times for variuos parts and he is the cheapest you will find. He was (could still be) a one man operation. He will get you your parts but it will take a little more time than others.

Ok I am now confused and my local Honda dealership could not answer this.

Honda have me part numbers of
19060-MBB-000
19010-MBB-000

What do the last 3 digits mean. I have found radiators with the 000, A41, 003 ect and they are all differanet pricing.

Are they all the same rediators?

Typically, the last three digits are for classification purposes. Suppliers, color codes, improvement number, etc.

Ok,

After I did some more research based on everyone’s input. There seems to be a parts change between the 2002 Superhawk and the 2003 Superhawk for the radiators. "Per Honda” the part numbers for 98 thru 2002 is 19010-MBB-000, the part number for the 2003 is 19010-MBB-A41. Unfortunately for me the 2003 parts are cheaper.

So unless some one can verify the 2003 radiators will fit a 2000 it appears I will be stuck buying the ones for my bike and the cheapest I found them are $610.00 plus shipping.

I greatly appreciate everyone input. I wish I found this forum earlier.

Wouldn't the parts fiche show if there were any differences between the years?

Well, my VTR seems happy with a newer left radiator (04 I think?) and the original right one from 97. I didn't see any significant difference when I swapped it out as far as I remember. Apart from one being leaky and crumpled and the other not so...

Now admittedly I didn't look as it never even occured to me that there could be a difference... some very specific parts are not interchangeable between years... Most others are identical with new parts no# at random years...

Yay for creativity... I think somebody at Honda had to much free time on their hands...

BTW It's not the only part i have swapped out that had different part numbers for identical items... So I'm just ignoring Honda's numbers now and looking at the partsfiches if it looks identical I assume it to be identical... and so far it hasn't backfired on me...

Man, I completely forgot about this place. It is Mylers radiator repair. I do not know how bad yours are but these guys are great. They can make a diamond out of coal if you need a rapair. Look at some of the before and after pictures. I have read countless stories about how they saved a lot of people big $$ on www.thumpertalk.com.
