Complete, ready to bolt on. No scratches, dings or chips. Use your own cap (it fits) or I'll include a keyless cap. $450 or best offer. Postage by USPS from Blaine WA 98230 is extra. More photos as soon as I've switched back to my standard tank. No more long rides, so I'm hopefully passing this on.

If you are going back to the original, does the 19 L include the Petcock and bracket?

Re: 19L tank

Hello, yes, it's complete and ready to install. You just need to switch the locking cap from your tank, or I'll include a non locking cap if you want.
Regards,
Michael

When you get it switched out can you post a picture of the under side?
Thanks

Here are some photos of the tank off the bike. I was getting over 300km (188 miles) on a tank of regular with everyhing stock except for #48 slow jets, which are richer than the stock 45s.

I still can't believe this hasn't sold yet. I'm guessing if it were a few years ago this would've been gone the same day.

Absolutely! I have a better bike for long hauls now. My Hawk gets used for close range mini-gp's, track days and commuting, which is 25mi one way. A few years ago I would have jumped at the opportunity for 180mi per tank.

Free bump, for a nice tank, good price.

Do I want it yes, Do I need it, No... and right now $450 has better uses in shop / play funds....Have my eye on a CNC mil...

Last week I said no to myself based on my factory red paint was just to clean to warrant investing in paint work which this clean tank of the wrong color would need.... This week after my bike sat out in the Texas sun for a few days, something never done before i realized I had been lied to by the PO..it is not OEM paint. Very disappointed and now looking at someone local I can trust/ afford to paint the bike. I cant stand to look at it now, seeing a bit of fade on the fairing vice the tank OEM paint. Wanker......I paid a premium for this bike 48 hours after my wreck thinking is was a uber clean OEM example...I blame pain killers and 4 broken ribs to getting taken.

Hi Captain, I guess part of the issue is that the '05s are more rare than previous years, being the last of production. I'll be patient..
How did those carbs work out?

xbrit13 09-05-2018 09:18 AM

Did your tank sell? And is the price in $CDN?

VTR1000F 09-05-2018 09:31 AM

I figured out why this hasn't sold. We're all getting older and need to stop every 100 miles or so for, um, other reasons anyway, so might as well get gas.

michaelbc 09-05-2018 09:32 AM

Do you mean lattes?

michaelbc 09-05-2018 09:34 AM

Hello Xbrit, I still have the tank, and the price is in US$. At this point I'm open to reasonable offers.
Cheers

I’ll get the dimensions tonight, thanks
