Good Gears???

I'm wondering what is the best setup for wheelies? I am thinking of building it to street/stunt. I was thinking about going 15f and 49R. But I'm not for sure a good setup. Can someone help me.

Tell your buddy to SACK UP & clutch it ! Just make sure you post it on Youtube and send us the link ! Sorry man I couldnt resist ! Seriously though , these bikes have so much engine braking IMHO they are a little harder to flip than a I4( as long as you dont Pin it, clutch and yank all at the same time) Letting of the throttle while up on one is almost as effective as stabbing the rear brake .

Also unless you want to go up in 4th you don't need no stinking clutch...

3'rd takes some convincing but it's doable... 4'th is less likely...
It's got torque... but it still a V2 not a V8...

My main problem is corners... (and bothersome cops...)

Well... using the front wheel is cheating...

If I do put mine down it's got Pilot Power Race... so it's plenty sticky...

Heh, that has potential for being painful...Don't do that...

Actually I'm in the process of collecting parts to upgrade the landing gear for better cornering...

Are you looking for a true stunt bike or just a fun wheelie bike for the street?
...If you are looking to truly stunt, slap a 60T on the rear and have fun keeping the front down.
...If you want fun on one and on two...go with something like a 15/45 or 16/47

My buddy in Greenville, SC makes em for all the top stunters in the US.
They have to be custom made for your bike but are worth the money.
Where do you live?

15/49 would be plenty of fun...not stunter fun....but a shitload of fun!
I'm not sure for a SH....but my best guess would be around $200...it's been awhile since I had a sprocket made there.

You know... with a 60... you can remove the front wheel... Won't really need it...

Oh... and if the i4 guys run 60 for stunts... I'd probably choose say 54-55 ish... then you can do stunts that involve the front wheel too...

Try this for figuring out the effect of gearing...

But basicly take what the i4 guys run and go down some 4-5 teeth... they have no idea what a twin can do...

I helped one of my friends in Mississippi, Tu Tu, put a 60T on his SV1000S...which has a bit more power than the SH...and it was the ****!
Ten times better stunt bike than the I4's
...installed a "cruise control" and his *** was doin no-hander wheelies in the parking lot of my uncles honda motorcycle dealership with ease.

Well... with that gearing a sandspeck on the rood is enough for a wheelie...

it really is...no clutch is needed what so ever! ...and the slightest bit of throttle can give you whip lash if your not ready

then you don't want a true stunt bike.
Go with your idea of the 15/49
...you will still have to be careful in the corners, but corners will not be impossible.
