Voltage Sentry

I read about this on ADV from 2 older guys riding Beemers on a 4 corner tour.

Seems like a good idea to have a constant monitor for elec system.

Clearwater CVS

Might be helpful to peeps with OEM R/Rs.

Cool find. Not bad for ~$66. "Green is Good" I might buy one.

I was going to make my own by following Tweety's instructions, but never got around to it.

I was using the LED indicator sold by Roadstercycle.com for a while.
Motorcycle battery monitor

It works fine and is less expensive than the indicator shown above, however I like to see the actual digital value of my battery, even with the upgraded R/R. I bought this Koso digital gauge.

Whatever gives you peace of mind. Either will work.

I might get one. I do like that Clearwater "states" it has tested their model to extremes, so that their model is very accurate.

I also use a cheap voltage monitor that cost me 3 dollars
and i put it directly on the battery terminals with a switch to turn it on and of when i want, that way it displays the real voltage... because if you put the positive lead on anything else like a switched voltage it always gonna be lower then you actual voltage.

Even better, if your using Lithium like most people here are you can get a voltage meter with alarm, that is ment for R/C cars, this will make a noise when you battery volts are lower then a pre set voltage, for example :
Lithium Polymer batterys (RC battery) cant be discharged past 2.88 volt per invidual cell so i set the alarm at 3.3 to be safe,
This meter connects to the balance leads of the lithium batterys and also display invidual cell voltage and the difference between them.
You can find them on any R/C website but most popular is Radio Control Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Boats, FPV and Quadcopters - Hobbyking* (note i do not work ther !! they just have so much stuff at low prices also Lifepo4 batterys)
