Will I ever get to ride?

Will I ever get to ride?
Does anyone else feel like their bike just sits in the garage? No matter how hard I try to make time to ride something always comes up. Either the wife wants to do something or something around the house breaks and it takes all weekend to fix. It makes me sick going in the garage and seeing the bike sit there.

Sunday morning I went for "a ride". 80 miles of just poking around places I had not been to or seen in a long time. That was the first time this year! Even so I still put on ~6k miles per season because I ride to work on nice days and I ride when ever I can for errands and such.
If your not retired you need to fit riding into life. Otherwise she'll sit in the garage...

Even seeing my 'Hawk in the garage every day makes me feel better on the days I can't ride. I do the HOV lane to work every chance I get. Even the wife comments on how pretty the bike is when she sees it..

But for 27 years I commuted on my bike as often as possible, weather and other conditions permitting. I also had several turns, sometimes just a couple of transition roads on the freeway, that made the ride to work fun. Plus I could split lanes and use the car pool lane.

In Hawaii, time to ride fortunately is almost year round. Still I hardly get to see my bike.
She sits alone with the Battery Tender keeping her company in the storage room. For me, work takes alot out of me. I feel I have to be in the physical and mental condition
to ride. Unlike a cruiser that may be less responsive to inputs.
I end up riding the web, looking at bikes and parts and youtube riding segments.
Guess I should get off my butt and install some of the parts I got. Got to get the
MCCTS and Pair block off plates on her this week(on vacation).
Spend some "quality time".
