Gasoline in Canada
Vacationing in Port Colburne Ontario this week. Just filled the tank of the family truckster in St Catherine's. Most expensive tank of gas I ever bought at $90. Is this ethanol free?

Welcome to the world of the great white north, where everything costs a stupid amount more as soon as you cross the border!!!! Pretty much all regular and midgrade fuel is ethanol blend. Some premium fuel, depending on the station is ethanol free, but costs around $1.45 per liter. You're lucky you can go back to the states and enjoy fuel costs that aren't so insane! I want to cry every time I have to fill up my truck....$140 for a tankful, that lasts around 600km at best. Even my little puddle jumper Mazda3 is $65 for a tank. Doesn't help that they jack the prices up over the summer and on long weekends too.

Don't come in QC then. Last week gas prices spiked at 1,529$/L.
This is 5,81$ a gallon....:O|
This really puts a dent on a weekly budget. Local experts speak of the possibility of prices going to 6,05$/gallon this summer.

OUCH - I hope they lube the hockey glove before they fist U! WTF!
I'll make sure I gas up in NY, before I cross the border.
I feel bad at $3.70 per Gal - regular in Pa, but I live near NJ, where its some of the cheapest in the USA @ $3.49 pg. So I always fill up NJ when I'm heading back from friends/family.
I guess its another way to tax you for the national services U Canucks get. Eh?

If you want to feel some more outrage consider this. Recently the CEO of Exxon Mobile said that the speculation by investment banks on Wall St is responsible for 40% of the price of a barrel of oil.

Just got back home today & did the litres to gallons conversion and figured out I paid about $2 per gallon more in Ontario than I do in Pittsburgh.
Yinz are gettin' hosed up there for gas.
Still, loved spending time in Port Colburne this past week. Nice folks & very pleasant change of scenery. The Welland Canal is like the effin' Hoover dam for an amazing feat of engineering! I can't believe how fast they raise and lower those 700' ships in the locks at Welland.
