Biggest thing that stood out for me was the lack of attendance. Maybe someone that went could give there thoughts!! Looked like there were a LOT of empty seats!
Oh yeah, 10 4 10!!

Just got home. Great race, awesome venue! If you've never been to indy, remember this place is HUGE, it holds 400,000+. If you were there you saw a good crowd. Lots of the cameras pan the lower grandstands. They are mostly empty. Everyone sits up higher due to the heavy fencing, the sun, and the better view up higher. Tons of people in the infield. No coverage in there. I 'm guessing 75k or more. Moto2 and 3 were GREAT races!!

I was pulling for Rossi, sorry guys. I've been routing for him since he was on a 500cc 2stroke back in 2000 On Doohan's old bike
I got so excited when he passed Marquez.. then so upset when Marquez got back by and just started leaving the field. No doubt he is a damn good rider, and will probably take the victory in every race this season, but it just seams monotonous to me for there to be no competition essentially for the win. I'd like to see more racing like at the start of the race in Indy again.
At least when Rossi used to win all the time he'd play with the other guys and make it look like a race

Not to hijack the thread but I've never been a Rossi fan. All you have to do is watch the Indy race when he nearly put Davisioso and himself out of the race letting Marquez and Lorenzo fly by! He did the same move on Gibernau @ 10 years ago pushing him completely off the track. Bumping is one thing controlled crashes into your opponent is another!

So I was sitting here having a glass of wine when it occurred to me that Marc Marquez is already the 2014 MotoGP Champion. He's won 10 of 18 races, that's 250 of a possible 450 points. He could sit the rest of the season and worst case he still wins by 50 points!
It's like Agostini in the old days, win the Championship take the rest of the season off and party (at least that's what Ago did).

Thanks for the feedback on the pics. That last shot was right place, right time, was extremely happy with the way it came out and to see those 3 duking it out before Turn 2. The high fencing made it a pain in the *** to get pics this year compared to last year. I had a perfect spot last year thanks to Parts Unlimited by Turn 10.....

Attendance seemed a little bit down, but really about the same as previous years. I was REALLY disappointed in the infield - IMS did a terribly poor job of getting vendors this year. Man, it sucked bad.
Also, I'm kind of interested in the logic behind putting the Indy Mile on Friday night. It had been Saturday night which made the weekend really neat.
