best mods for performance?
I've seen a lot of different threads about a certain performance mod but I'm looking for the best combination of mods I can do to my bike to make it run stronger after and of course torqueier so far I have is a stick coil conversion dino jet needle and springs micron single exhaust

As far as motor, lightening the flywheel IMO is the best bang for the buck. And really dialing the carbs (not just throwing a kit in there, but actually tuning them).
Everything else gets much more costly for the performance, and is best done in conjunction with each other (overbore, aftermarket cams, full exhaust, etc).

Lightened Flywheel changes the character of your engine for the better.
Makes it crisper in a sense!
The next best mod I have done is the rear shock shim, this sharpens the handling.
From there it gets costly, I know as my wallet is much lighter now.

I was thinking strictly motor mods... There are several things I'd do before the flywheel, but for more pep out of the motor, it would be my first.
I second the port and polish. If you look at port jobs on these bikes they really don't remove a lot of material b/c it's already formed fairly well in there . It'll help, but for the cost of removing the heads, the difference will be very small if it's noticeable at all. I'd do it if I were building the whole motor up, but not as an upgrade to a stock bike.

I'm looking to build the motor I just want to know the best upgrades compaired to the expensive less gaining upgrades and pulling the motor is no big deal I can pull it and strip it down with out a problem

While you at it, you probably know how to port the valves, you can get an ignition advancer and so on....

Agreed I am about to put a 900rd front end on it and I'm looking for a sleeper something people won't look at twice unroll they r passed and I dislike the rd51s good power plant looks goofy from wide front slim back

I looked at an SP1 the other day and wasn't impressed with it visualy either.
The Storm, or as you guys call it the Superhawk has a timeless look by comparison.
Sleeper is the way to go.
I have many mods, however my bike still looks like a standard storm except for some blingy bits, and as our bikes are no longer available most people don't even know what they are.
Good luck with your endeavors, and if like me you get enjoyment out of making things better then you are about to have some fun, and maybe even give a few mates the ***** because they don't like to admit that bikes don't have to be the latest and greatest to cut it in the real world.

But it's not really the cheap option at all... A port and a polish of the heads is just one item on a very, very long list of thousand dollar items...

Well guys what would you recommend I have a guy that owes me machine work mainly bc I paid to have a set of heads done and stuff happens and they never got done so I'm not worried about the cost on that end I would just need a list of parts that work well together and some performance tricks I plan on making the header going away from stock I believe the race header is 2.25 inches so I plan to make it. Not hard to do being I'm a welder and fabricator but not a motor builder

Well that's a different story then... most people who ask the question like you originally asked it want a cheap bolt on part... and out of territory that I wouldn't want to pretend to have expertise in
