Radiator guards

Has anyone cut the fairings for a street fighter project in order to keep the radiators covered? If I could use Photoshop I'd figure out if it would even look good.

I've seen a few radiator guards on here that people seem to have built themselves. I don't trust myself to do anything worthy of putting on my bike.

I found this cf one on eBay that's in the picture. I'm not paying that much for anything and I can't see how it's supposed to be mounted.

Not for a naked bike. Most likely fits in the exhaust opening for the rad in the RC faring.

I was just using those as an example. I'm thinking there might be a way to cut the fairings so they just cover the radiators. I'm not too keen on trying it because I would then be it done fairings if it doesn't work.
