Owner: That would be me... Tweety...

The bike is an Italian Red -97 (Yes, it was plated and on the road in early October in 97... Pesky Europeans... )

Modifications:
CBR 1000RR fork:
- CBR 1000RR USD fork
- CBR 1000RR wheel with 320mm rotors
- CBR 1000RR complete brake (Radial M/C, radial calipers)
- CBR954/929 triple tree
- ConvertiBars adjustable clip-ons
- Moved the radiators to make room for the fork

CBR 1000RR instrument cluster:
- RC51-SP2 temp sensor
- Integrated gear indicator (build and design by me)
- Integrated voltmeter & fuelgauge (In progress)
- Speedohealer (v4)

RC51-SP2 swingarm:
- RC51-SP2 swingarm with custom welded lower link mount (Idea from hawkter996)
- CBR F4i rear shock (Modified with heavier spring and Racetech Goldvalve by Jamie Daugherty)
- RC51-SP2 rear caliper & caliper mount
- CBR 600RR rear wheel with CBR 1000RR sprocket
- Custom mount plate for rearset at the pivot bolt
- Custom rearset (parts from cheap eBay set and some custom made)

Fairing:
- Dark tinted DB screen
- CBR 954 OEM hugger
- Mototeck undertail
- Mirror extenders

Electrical:
- HID projector (Nissan G35) High & low beam.
- Brake light modulator (build and design by me)
- R1/R6 Regulator/Rectifier Swap
- Peugeot 206/307 flush mount indicators
- LED plate light in Mototeck undertail
- LED taillight Retrofit (Idea from haknslash)

- Jardine Aluminum high mount slip-on
- Burnie Morgan filtermod
- 16/42 gearing
- Short throw throttle
- Moved the ECU to the outside of the subframe like the newer models to free up space (plus it had no good mount after I installed the Mototeck undertail)
- Custom made mount for my disc lock (I got tired of opening the seat to store it)

Plus a whole bunch of little things I already forgotten...

The lower chin spoiler wasn't on for this photo, sorry! It's color matched in Italian Red...

Tweety,
I really, really, really like your bike. Your suspension mods are first class and in my opinion will transform a great engine/moderate chassis/cheap suspended and braked bike, into a very competent machine. Its the kind of bike where I would use Jesus as a brake marker, ride hard till you see Jesus then BRAKE!! Enjoy it.....

WOW! How hard was it to get the swing arm on there? I would love to do that. I can't stand the SH swing arm.

It's more or less a bolt-on application...

All tough it should be noted that I re-welded a mount on mine unnecessarily, I figured out the "bolt-on" later...

tweety, you are the mad, manic, modding machine. Hell a few more mods and it won't be a hawk anymore. Then you'll have to leave us and move onto the "Unofficial OCD Forum For Those With No Impulse Control".

Actually as I was taking those pictures out on the lawn my father was sitting with a cup of coffee just outside the shot, trying to figure out what I had left stock so far...

He came up with a rather short list... The fairings, the radiators (they are stock, only moved them), the tank (on the to do list) and a fair part of the engine block (also on the to do list)...

If anyone can think of more parts let me know... I lost count...

The Swedish VTR forum/club gave me dispense to be in the club all tough there are less VTR parts than others, just cuz they want to see my next crazy idea...

Ok, since I got my stuff painted, I will give this a go.

Custom Painted, by me, Front Fender and Belly Pan
1998 Italian Red Superhawk
Hi-mount Black Aluminum Jardine Exhaust
DID 530 Chain
Stock Sprockets
Haknslash's LED Taillight Mod
AEP CCT's
Puig Windscreen
Flush Mount Front turn signals
Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines

Everything else I am slowly working on. Sometime along the way, it will be a totally different Superhawk!

Hmm... Those diodes up front, how are they used? as low beam or as position light? or just by an on-off switch?

BTW I like the idea as such, but I'm not sure I liked the actual position of them... Looks a bit out of place on the VTR to me...

They are used instead of the side light plan to remove the side light and smooth it over. Best bit is a grand total of £5 to do the mod.

No they came from a local car shop but i lost the packaging

They don't just flash they start at the inside of the mirror and light one at a time to the end then start again like a Knight rider type effect. Got noticed a lot.

While I am tempted to vote for RedVTR's bike (red? what?) just because he's got stock signals (and I thought I was the only one), and I'm tempted to vote for VTRSteve's cause it's cool, I have to go for Tweety's bike - so many mods that, if I could swing it, I'd do to mine. Nice bikes all, tho.

However you find joy is what's important. Whether it's riding or tinkering (or a little of both).
