Superhark / firestorm

Hi i have been given a project bike by my work they have given up on it after 7.years. its a honda 1000 vtr firestorm or superhark. I think I have fitted everything mechanical it's just a basic wiring diagram for ignition start and stop hopefully using the original cdi or ecu boxes switches and wires. It's not going on the road it's a show bike only.so don't need lights can send any pics if needed or answer any questions here's a pic of what I am working on

It is directly under the rear exhaust port. Mine starts with SC. Very bold, stamped into the case.

mines looks a bit suspect because the only numbers on the back of the engine are M882. It doesn't look like they have ground off the numbers because the paint looks original all over the bike. Or it could be just a really good job

Engines were not painted as stock. As you said, maybe ground down. I'm guessing not a problem if never registered for the road.
