Undertail installation (Mototeck)

Hello everyone,

I have a Mototeck undertail that I purchased on eBay some time ago (see attached pic, same but black, maintains stock taillight ) and was looking at installing it in the very near future. I realize that the installation procedure has been tackled to some degree (found some info on prior threads) but I am hoping that perhaps someone has installation pics or can share exactly where I am to cut the fender in order to fit the undertail properly. Anything else I should be aware of? I am firm believer in the "measure twice, cut once" premise and want to ensure I don't screw this up.

Also, as my undertail does not have a pre-drilled hole for the seat lock mechanism, I was wondering of someone knows what the hole diameter is?

Any help would be appreciated

cheers
Mikstr

Well, Mine's not a mototeck, but I cut just above the holes for the plastic push ins and aroung the trunk area (wanted to keep the rubber band). It fit like a charm.

Ho Mike!!

You should have warned me before to buy, Mototeck guys is now one of my friends and I got some good price there! 8)

For more, you have buy the "old" model, the new model come with seat lock hole already drilled and the flasher are very more sharp, IMO!!

See the new model here from my previous post: https://www.superhawkforum.com/viewt...=asc&&start=15

This is strange, this post doesn't come out when we do a mototeck search on the forum!??? Hope you don't pay it to much!!

For the installation process, maybe can I suggest you to make a quick turn to my house, I will show you how I have install mine, that will be even better than any picture!

I'm not in town this weekend, I'm gooing to Qc to pick-up the last part it miss me to complete my front end swap but next week should not be a problem!

Let me know...

Re: Undertail installation (Mototeck)

Well, I went at it last evening and got her on. I took my time and did things slowly to make sure I didn't "overcut".

The cosmetics are all done now for this year. Will post pics soon

thanks for the advice and offers of help. Now if it will only stop raining...

cheers
