free used rear tire

I am soon to pull the Pilot Power tires off my SH.
I'll be keeping the front, but not the rear.
The rear is 90% worn out on the sides.
The center is probably 10% worn (90% tread left).
If somebody wants it, and is willing to pay shipping, you can have it.
It would be OK if you spend lots of time straight up. Even leaned over would be OK for a while, as long as you don't get on the gas hard or get caught in the rain.

What a guy! Good tire for a S. Fla. rider anyway.

I got first dibs. Can I see a pic of the sides if you don't mind?

Re: free used rear tire

10-4.
I'll take some digital pics tonight and post 'em.
Also, I thought, if you want the front (it is worn on the sides too, but not nearly so bad as the rear). It guess it has 50-60% tread left. I'll post some pics of it too.
If you're interested, throw an offer my way and maybe you can get both.
Either way, the rear is yours free (if you pick up shipping.)

One more quickie. I spent last weekend at Deal's Gap and I dogged the %#*& out of the rear tire. Yes, it would spin up out of turns, but mostly when I intentionally spun it. Other than that, the grip was still great. As worn as it is, I'd head right back today with little concern.

Cool thanx, I am looking forward for the pics. I love corners and I do a decent amount of twisties. I will let you know if I want it or not after I see the pics. Thanx a lot for the offer though. That rocks.

Re: free used rear tire

I can't get the pics to post.
Keep getting 404 error.
I'll try again later.
If all else fails, I'll e-mail them to you.
They are approx .5 meg each (total of 4 - 3 rear, 1 front)

Re: free used rear tire

One of the pics is the front tire. Look close and you can see the bottom of the forks along side the tire. (I named the pics and one is front.jpg.)
Estimate of about $10 to ship the rear tire.
And I'd guess about $20 if you want the front also.

Thats for ground shipment (about 4 or 5 days transit)

Just a little FYI I just shipped 2 tires from S.FLA. to Dallas TX. and it cost me $33 ups ground. It's a little cheaper if you put them in a box, I think it was $28. Just so you don't get a big surprise but it might be less from ALA. to MICH. but I don't know.

Hey Brian. An update. I am gonna pass on this great offer. One of my friend's just got a brand new gixxer out of the showroom and he wants to change his stock Bridgestones to Pilot powers. Sorry man, I am gonna go with him. Can't beat the price of 75$ for a brand new set of BT 015s.

If you want me to post the picture for you, that's cool, I can do that. I apologize again man.

Re: free used rear tire

Not a prob.
I kinda' want to keep the front anyways. It still has some good life left in it.
Maybe I'll just go do a bunch of burnouts and send the rear up in smoke!

LOL. Why the hell not. Just excpect some clumps of rubber all over your undertail area and all over the pipes. Takes a while to get the stuff out.
