Exhausts

Happy holidays to all!

Does anyone have a preference in exhausts for the SuperHawk? I have been looking at 2Bros, Jardine, Leo Vince, and D&D. Kinda want to keep the rear pegs, with a good look and sound. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Jadines High Mount oval cannisters allow you to use your rear peg mounts. The kit includes hardware to move your right peg out a little to miss the high mount. The high mount brackets bolt right up to the same location the rear peg mounts go.

I think they are about $500 at MAW site. I have had mine on for about four years and have had no problems with them at all.

Superhawk06 meet Mr. FAQ. Mr FAQ, meet Mr superhawk06.

A search of the performance mod section should reap lots of info, pics, etc. There is no "gotta-have" exhaust. Get whatever floats your boat.

And welcome to the site.

Do I smell a price war on exhausts this year? That would be so sweet! I've always thought these were extrordinarily over-priced but everybody seemed to be doing it. This is great! These things get down around the $300 mark we'll be paying a bit closer to what they're really worth. I remember the first time I looked through an aftermarket can - it looked just like the friggin' straight through from Thrush Mufflers at Autozone for $30. $800 is bullshit so I hope this goes market wide. Hell, yes, High-Mounts for all!

Remus slip-ons installed. Your site really helped regarding the pair system.
I didn't really get to test the bike out, I had my son with me when I picked up the bike.
So far I haven't done the jet kit, but it seems to run fine. I plan on having it dyno'd to make sure I get the full potential of the exhaust.
My next project after that is braided hydra lines.

Thanks again Hawkrider.

Got the Jardines on last nite. They have a much sweeter rumble @ idle.

I only rode up the street & back... like 30mph... so i haven't heard them at full chat yet. They're the street cores & they don't sound like they'll PO the neighbors. Tomorrow is s'posed to be sunny & 74 degrees in Virginia, so I'll head for the mountains & check 'em out.

Had the pipes off last summer & started the bike up a couple times to hear what it would sound like... can you say NASCAR!... geez that was intimidating
