Random pics from this past week

The shop is in full bloom and I sure am seeing some winning entries.

Brakes weren't the same bike as the tire. Still

1st pic, Hardley rear "pads". Nice color!

'02 R6 so a carb bike came in. Sat for years and now won't start. New battery and the fuel pump is slow to get prime pressure. I got it to fire up for a few seconds but it smoked out the shop so I took it outside, then just cranking. Back in and now the pump kept running and it puked fuel. Sooo, off comes the carbs. This is what I see. Anyone have a fishin' pole!

I pulled that fuel from cyl 1 intake ports. @ least the valves are sealing good, lol! Hardly any got into the cylinder. Time to open the bank.

This is great lol keep this going. More pics, I personally can never get enough stupidity. And swamp water is the kinder term for the cat **** they pass off as gasoline these days. Doesn't seem to take long for carbs to look like that inside if they sit for a couple months...

What's the difference between a harley and a vacuum cleaner?

On a harley, the dirtbag sits on top of the machine.

The ST1300 owner's forum refers to this as "going to the Dark Side". I cannot understand the appeal myself (but then I've never worn out the centre of a tyre either).

When did this start exactly? I remember guys with Valkyries talking about what a great idea it was back in the day... I mean I get it that a drag slick is shaped like that but doesn't anyone question what happens the second you start to lean?

Ranks right up there with the F$%*ing idiots who take the front brakes off their sportbikes so they can show off their stupid chrome wheels.

Exactly. We had a guy on a Honda Shadow come in and want us to mount a car tire on the rear. Boss said no due to liability issues.

And I've had bikes with one rotor removed in for inspection. We did end up letting it slide. These are the kind of guys that when you remove the rear wheel to mount a new tire, it will stand upright when left go. Completely flat almost car tire like.

That "dark side" pic was from my local Ducati dealers 60th aniv. open house. They had free dyno runs all day and an old hardley got in between me and the guy I rode with. It was 1000cc and ran a 42 (forty two)rwhp. What a joke! My Duc ran 142, and Jakes Buell did 160. The 1299 in front ran 178.

And apparently the stupidity works both ways...

VWVortex.com - someone actually mounted a motorcycle tire on a car

What does VAG stand for again? OH YES it's Volkswagen Audi Group... We're just full of good ideas today...

What does it mean when there's a ONE-HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT page thread on the Harley forum about putting car tires on your Harley? If nothing else you think they'd be concerned about how F#$%ing stupid it looks...

Does anyone have a recommendation for any car / truck tires that work well on a Superhawk? RWL preferred. I'm guessing WSW would be too much to hope for.
