Okay, guys. You can stop now. Ignore the little guy who is yearning for attention.

Back on topic, Jamie when you get the brake levers made I'll buy a shifter/brake lever set from you. Let us know.

I cetainly will do that! You'll have to wait until the riding season is over because teh VTR is only bike I have right now that's in a get-on-and-go condition.

What?!? There's a riding "season"?!?

On a more serious note... very nice work on the shifter JamieDaugherty. I'm interested as well but am going to have to wait until I have a bit more expendable income. Maybe once the brake pedal happens I will be able to go for a set as well.

Jamie hate to thread jack but didn't you have a set of tripple trees that you drew up in solidworks or some other CAM program?
Have you ever made a prototype?

Well, it's over for everyone else here too. I just ride about a month longer than I should.

Yeah, I've got some designed but have not made them yet. Now that the off season is drawing near I need to make a priority list of what I want to get done before next year.

This looks like the one on my bike, the one I just bought. I put the shift lever on the farthest outside (for my big foot) and it works great.

I've not really thought about, but I'm sure it's possible. Have you tried flipping the lever on the shifter shaft upside down? I'm not sure if there is clearance for that, but if so it would be a quick way to convert it to race pattern.

i honestly dont care about the shifting pattern, but what bothers me is that the shifter makes me have a different position for each foot, because of the bolt for the lever. i know im just crazy, but it really pisses me off sometimes when im setting up for a left and i feel like my foot should be closer in.

Jay, i'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has felt this.

Are you going to be able to make the matching brake lever this winter? I need the set for my bike. The shift lever fits great on my big foot.

Absolutely! I've sold quite a few them in fact. I'll pretty much keep this part in stock at all times until further notice.

Sorry, I didn't catch that in the post by dvwalker. I have a design for the brake lever but it's too expensive. I'll be working on that (and a full rearset kit) as time permits.

Still 80 shipped Jamie?

Anyone know anyone who could do a short run of anodizing?

Officially it's $85, but I can give a "forum" discount. I can also help you out with the anodizing, I do runs of red, blue and black on occasion.

Not yet for the 1098, but I've thought about it. The rear brake lever would be a mother, that thing twists and turns in there.

I have a design for shortly levers for the VTR but have not made any yet. I'm running about 7-8 weeks behind on suspension work so 'new' projects have to wait until things slow down. If this year is like the previous ones that won't be until July or so.

Right now I've shelved the design for a stock replacement brake lever due to high cost. If I end up doing anything it will be a full set of rearset brackets. That's where I've shifted my focus toward.

FYI: I just wanted to note that I have set my shifter to the short-throw position and enjoy how it works. Shifts are still crisp but the lever movement required in noticeably shorter. Once again, job well done Jamie
